Racial equality is a fundamental right and fostering inclusive workplaces is a cornerstone in achieving that goal. Undeniable progress has been made since 1865, but even 158 years after the emancipation of African American slaves in the US we are still far from the objective of true racial equality in many domains of society. Corporate leadership is not an exception. According to recent data, only 8% of C-suite executives are black and African American executives hold only 3.2% of senior leadership roles at major companies. Less than 1% are CEOs.

NxtWork works strenuously to fight this imbalance and we are continuously inspired by sister organizations whose work we celebrate today. This is far from an inclusive list: the future that lies ahead is bright with so many talented and passionate leaders working for the same cause!
